Litigating the Climate Emergency: What’s Next? – Practitioners’ Session

Rights-based climate litigation – which started as a trickle in the early 2010s – has now become a veritable stream, with no slowdown in sight. As rights-based climate litigation enters a new stage of maturity, NYU Law’s Climate Litigation Accelerator (CLX) held Litigating the Climate Emergency: What’s Next?, a retrospective and prospective webinar series that looked at what the rights-based climate litigation field has achieved since its inception, its ongoing challenges, and future directions for the field.

In this installment of that series, litigators examine key cases, emerging norms, gaps, and trends based on their experience litigating some of the most influential rights-based climate cases globally.
