The Loss and Damage (L&D) Hub at CLX collaborates with partners around the world to address the needs of communities that are experiencing L&D from climate change. L&D generally refers to the past, present, and future economic and non-economic harms from climate change that have not been or cannot be avoided through mitigation or adaptation. The L&D Hub publishes legal and scientific research that is accessible to impacted communities, advocates, researchers, and policymakers; supports the creation of scientific evidence; advocates in domestic and international fora; develops legal strategies for L&D policy and action; and connects scientific and legal practitioners to support action informed by the best available science.
