Amicus Brief to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on Corporate Accountability for the Climate Crisis

CLX, along with the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL), Greenpeace International, the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), and the Open Society Justice Initiative (OSJI) submitted a joint amicus brief to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights on corporate accountability during the climate crisis. The brief supports the request for an Advisory Opinion presented by Colombia and Chile on issues concerning the climate emergency and human rights. It highlights the role of the fossil fuel and agroindustry sectors in exacerbating climate change and calls for strict regulation by States and responsible business conduct.
